What’s on in Bressanone

If you think of Bressanone as a sleepy little mountain town… think twice! We have a pretty lively scene here, with a variety of events all year round. There is something for everyone, from culture vultures to sports enthusiasts and from gourmets to families. Whether you prefer the traditional bread and strudel market or the innovative jazz music festival, you won’t be disappointed!
Theatre shows, concerts, and exhibitions are only part of the local cultural landscape. The Forum Brixen cultural centre, the Astra and Kassianeum youth centres, the Dekadenz cabaret, the town gallery and the local museums all contribute to the offering with a variety of interesting events.

Highlights

Events for every taste,

in every season

There is no better place to soak up the Christmas atmosphere than the Christmas market on the Cathedral square in Bressanone, with its decorated stalls, inviting scents and the impressive show of lights and music in the courtyard of the Hofburg Museum (end of November - 6 January). In April, the Bressanone book festival is the place to be if you are a book lover. In May, the Water Light Festival attracts international artists who transform the town into a sea of lights, while in June/July the South Tyrol Jazz Festival fills the air with innovative sounds. Highlights for sports enthusiasts include the Bressanone Dolomites Marathon in July and the Mountain Bike Testival in September. Connoisseurs and gourmets shouldn’t miss events like the Dine, Wine & Music festival, the Summer Emotion festival, and the Bread and Strudel Market in October.
